Tracie Peisley was born in Ashford , Kent in 1965. She studied at the Bath Academy of Art where she received her BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree and studied at Birmingham Polytechnic where she received her Post Graduate MA Fine Art. She has lectured, organised her own women's group exhibitions and shown regularly in group shows since 1997. She has work in the South East Arts collection and The World's Women on-line! http://www.asu.edu/wwol. In 1992 she worked in a children's hospital and studied Art Therapy at Goldsmith's College, London. Through Tracie's involvement with the 'Women's Art Library',London she was invited by Artist Susan Morland to participate in a touring exhibition of 10 women Artists called'With Your Own Face On' * In 1994 she moved to the Greek island of Lesbos where she lived and worked for four years. Most recently she has lived and worked on the island of Meganissi in the Greek ionian as a holiday representative. A painting sabbatical in the Northern Cape of South Africa is planned for the winter of 1998.
Her exhibitions include: Royal Overseas League Artist's '89, London, MA, Fine Art '89, IKON gallery, Birmingham, 'Simple Twist of Fate, Riverside Arts Centre, London 1993 and 'With Your Own Face On' which began touring at Plymouth Museum and Art Gallery in March 1994 and included Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery 1994, Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery 1995, Watermans Art Gallery, London 1995 and Batley Art Gallery, Kirklees, West Yorkshire 1995.
